Review For “The Brilliant Game” By A. Gavazzoni and The Finale of Her Amazing Trilogy.

Readers … if you love a good Psychological Thriller Romance Light Erotica Suspense? Then, Author, Adriana Gavazzoni’s New Novel Trilogy is what you should be reading! She is an amazing business lawyer by day and a sizzling writer by night … I just finished Book Three of her trilogy “The Hidden Motives” series and it is a fantastic read! I’m not saying this because I work for her in promoting her books, oh no!

It’s from loving all three books after reading them in this series. She is a talented writer and creative with all the twists and turns packed into all three of her titles. Now I am not the best writer of reviews as I never like to spoil a good read. But here is my review and a few others that tell readers this is a Highly Recommended book and why she is winning so many Book Awards!

Psychiatrist Simone Bennet feels like a pawn on a chessboard—as if some invisible, master chess player is toying with her life and the lives of the people she loves and cares for.
A series of horrific events—several murders and Simone being tortured at the hands of a serial killer—culminate in the kidnapping of her daughter and have turned Simone’s life upside down.

Struggling to stay afloat in the middle of a sea of chaos, Simone continues to receive her psychiatric patients and do more work for the New York attorney, Carl, while local police, the FBI, and Edward—Simone’s boyfriend, best friend, and business partner—are working hard to locate her child.

Simone is analyzing another set of Lara’s journals, and she becomes dragged into a vortex of sex addiction, suffering, and Lara’s struggle for some kind of balance in her life, while Simone battles an inner fight against her mixed feelings for the enigmatic lawyer.
Filled with twists and turns, this final book in the Hidden Motives trilogy reveals a deranged, steamy, and disturbingly brilliant game of sex, murder, and mystery and chronicles a woman’s conflict between love and reason.

Fasten your seat belts before you embark on this roller coaster, and prepare for the most unpredictable end! …  NOW  Available on Amazon

“Five Star Trilogy.”

Five Star Review on Amazon By Bailey

After reading all three of these novels, I don’t think there is a novel this author could write that I wouldn’t read. Even if I didn’t like the subject matter, I’m sure I would still read her books because she is such a fantastic writer. This is what made this books so special and such page turners… the author’s writing.
But I do not want to shortchange the story, the world the author built in these books. The story of Lara and Simone and the cast of other characters, was simply dazzling and wild.

My only disappointment was finishing this book and anxiously awaiting this author’s next book. Hoping it won’t be long.

Never Seen The Ending Coming and Wow, What A Finale of This Trilogy!

From the first awarding-winning “Behind the Door” begins a thrilling and steamy into of a sex game or was it murder? Through book one keeps you enthralled into then the backstory as Simone goes through all the journals in book two of “Lara’s Journal.” But book three? What a roller coaster ride of mishaps, circumstances, murder, and oh poor ‘Simone’ has been through more than one person could ever manage!

I never spoil a good read, that said, the author has seasoned her writing chops in the finale of this “Must Read Trilogy.” The author has a way of weaving in spicy steamy romance, sex, thrills, and suspense with loads of twists and turns all the while touching on topics like mental illness, psychiatry, sexual behaviors, and more interesting issues.

That is what makes this series unique and keeps you pulled in until the last page and exceptional plot and storyline. I think the end of this book’s description should really be at the VERY BEGINNING: “Fasten your seatbelts before you embark on this roller coaster, and prepare for the most unpredictable end.” Absolutely True!!

I Highly Suggest All Three Books As Book Three Is Now My Favorite … Cat Lyon

March 29, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition –  RM Griffin alwaysdaddygirl

The Brilliant Game (Hidden Motives Book 3) by A. Gavazzoni hits the nail on the head with regard to mental illness. I have a mental illness and have been dealing with it for twenty-six years. This book gives the naked truth. It does not sugarcoat it. It truly gives you an understanding of the battles mentally ill people have to fight. It is not always roses and unicorns when dealing with a mental illness. The book has hot, R-rated sex. That does not bother me. Who am I to judge someone? Only God can do that.

Another beautiful thing is how real this novel feels.

I would recommend reading this series in order. In each book, the author widens the reader’s knowledge of mental illness. Also, the development of the characters is woven beautifully into this series. I received this book free for review. Kudos to the author for her understanding and kindness toward people like me who have a mental illness, for how she makes the story come alive, and for the suspense she brings to her books. These are the reasons I give this book five stars.

This was a good read. The simultaneous plot line between Lara’s journal and Simone’s real-life make it very interesting. There is a lot of sexual content which makes it a mature read, but adds to the fun.

Plus, by the end of this book, there are a number of surprises that surfaced to add to the it’s impact. I was very pleased.

Can You Become an ‘Instant’ or Overnight Media Success Authors?

I just read a great new article by my dear friend and PR expert Marsha Friedman in my newsletter from her PR firm. So, Marsha is back and shares and explains, time matters when it comes to media success. It doesn’t happen overnight and especially for authors and their books. Marketing your brand as an author and marketing your books takes a lot of work! Here is what Marsha says about this topic … Catherine *Cat*

The Time And Toil That Lie Behind ‘Instant’ Media Success

Have you ever heard actors, singers, or even authors who became “overnight sensations” explain that their success didn’t happen overnight after all?

Instead, it was the result of lots of toil, along with years in which they languished in obscurity before – after much persistence – they rose to prominence and finally achieved “instant” fame.

Building your personal brand works in somewhat the same way. You can’t expect to bolt out of the starting gate one day and end up the next morning on the front page of a major newspaper or on the set of a national TV show.

So, the bad news is that success in the publicity and personal-brand-building world can take time. The good news is, for those willing to put in that time and effort, success does happen – and often in a big way!

Case in point: One of our clients was just featured in an Inc. magazine article that focused entirely on her and her message, along with a mention of her book! That’s not a common occurrence with this publication.

But this was no overnight achievement. She’s been our client for a year, and in that time we steadily helped her build both a stronger social media presence and print media presence. Would Inc. magazine has devoted so much space exclusively to her if she hadn’t built her authority over the last 12 months? Unlikely.

I share her success story for a couple of reasons.

For one thing, this shows what can be accomplished by those who find a message that resonates with the media and who keep at it, realizing that publicity and brand-building must be ongoing.

The second reason I share her story is this: On occasion, we encounter clients who don’t have a strong media presence and yet expect this sort of media attention instantly. They struggle to understand why we don’t just call up journalists or TV producers and explain how great they are or how wonderful their product or service is. They assume the media will be eager to talk with them.

.

The-Brilliant-Game

.

It doesn’t quite work that way. Sorry to say, the media may not be that interested in you – not yet anyway.

But you’re in good company. The top-tier media at one time weren’t into plenty of people who later became household names. No one cared about interviewing Mark Zuckerberg until Facebook started becoming a phenomenon that couldn’t be ignored.

That said, though, there are ways even an “unknown” can start to build a media presence and promote a personal brand, such as:

  • Promote your expertise rather than your product or service. As I mentioned earlier, members of the media likely won’t care about you or what you’re selling. What they do care about is your expertise. Do you have valuable information you can share with their readers, viewers or listeners? If you’re a financial professional, what tips would you offer for retirement planning? If you’re a small business owner, what advice would you give others who want to start a business? The media may not perk up their ears at your name, but they could be swayed by the knowledge you bring to the table.
  • Don’t dismiss the small victories. Everyone wants to be quoted in The Wall Street Journal or USA Today. They want the Today Show to interview them or Entrepreneur magazine to come calling. That’s fine! It’s great to dream big and we help many of our clients enjoy such successes. But don’t fall into the trap of ignoring smaller media opportunities. They help establish your online presence, provide opportunities to hone your message and give the top-tier media greater confidence that you’re a credible and authoritative voice in your industry.
  • Never give up. While a quick dash from anonymity to media darling could happen, it’s not the norm. You may send out pitches and get no response. You might be interviewed for an article, then be left out when it appears in print. Don’t despair. Be persistent. Sometimes it’s a matter of hitting the right journalist with the right pitch at just the right time.

If you’re starting to think this sounds more like a journey than a quick trip, you would be right. And, for those who care about personal brand building over the long haul, it’s a journey that has to be ongoing.

Once your efforts die, so will media interest – and they’ll turn to the next “overnight sensation”!

Instantly yours,

Marsha! (We Help Authors Too! http://newsandexperts.wpengine.com/book-promotion-services-for-marketing-a-book/

Let’s Meet:

Nomi Leasure, Atticus & Scout

.

.

Atticus (see also: Fatticus; Fatty-Cakes) walked – literally – into my life spring of 2013. On the invitation of a can of tuna served on the front stoop, the bold little thing, just under a year I’d have guessed by weight and length, waltzed into my apartment, at the time shared with three other girls (all confessed “dog people”) and, as can obviously be assumed, never left.

It wasn’t unusual to see strays on the streets of North Philly. Among many other things (few cheerful, positive, or cuddly) North Philly was known for its abundance of stray cats. Atticus was one of their lot wholeheartedly; took no shit, feared no dogs, ate straight up anything. He was the sort of cat that people who said they hated cats came to love. You could wrestle with him like a pup, cuddle with him like an old, raggedy stuffed animal, and share a midnight munchie – his favorite being 35 cent Oodles n’ Noodles.

Food, it would turn out, was something Atticus really, really enjoyed. Perhaps it was those formative months spent scrounging the unforgiving and un-bountiful city streets that instilled in him the dire desire to dine. Or maybe he’s on, still, a lifelong culinary quest to satisfy those original cravings that only back alley bodega dumpster diving can sate.

In any case, he quickly became a sizable companion whom I lugged – lifting from the legs,  not the back – from city to city.

.

XJ8A1832a

.

Together, we moved back home to Pittsburgh and converted my deathly allergic childhood best friend into a roomie and, after not too long, willing cat-cuddle-buddy. He was an outdoor cat and it wasn’t long before our backyard filled with the small femurs, skulls and shoulder girdles of unidentifiable rodents.

Atticus grew a rap on the street. Neighbors greeted him by name, invited him in for dinner, walked with him to the bus stop in the morning. One woman mentioned casually that she came home one night to find him already inside of her apartment, waiting to warmly greet her. My sister, also a roomie at the time, the road up the main drag of the neighborhood and saw him, too, strutting his way up the street, apparently headed for the Crazy Mocha.

Knowing I had to take him back indoors when I decided to move to New York was hard. The solution for this guilt was, obviously, to get another cat.

.
XJ8A1770a
.

Enter Scout … Scout was procured in a Chick-fil-A parking lot from a girl of but eleven or twelve who confessed he was riddled with worms but did I want him anyway? He could fit in my palm, and spent his first month of New York life shut in solitary confinement (so as to not spread the worms); the first and last week of that month forced to swallow anti-worm-meds twice a day from a syringe.

.

.

Despite the love, attention, and affection I paid to him during this time, I am lead to believe that this isolated and traumatizing introduction to life has left him with, how should we put this, social difficulties.

He is spastic, rigid, awkward and bashful. Next to no one aside from me can pet him, and those who can have mastered the delicate and intricate art of approaching him not from above, not too quickly, and using only a few fingers in just the right spot behind his ear.

Common perception aside he is really quite affectionate. He’s obsessed with Atticus, despite Atticus’ original detest, and then indifference toward him. When they cuddle it’s as though he can’t get close enough, perpetually shifting and repositioning himself until he is enveloped in Atticus’ fat rolls, just his slightly creepy slits of eyes visible in the fur covered blob.

Unlike Atticus (or maybe because of Atticus) he doesn’t eat much. He doesn’t seem to derive real pleasure from food, viewing it simply as the sustenance he needs to pursue his true, deep-seeded passion: Meowing at me incessantly, bleating really, until I pick up and play with his teaser toy.

.

XJ8A1856a
.

He’s easily amused, loves chasing – but not so much catching – things, and prefers to be petted on carpeting or soft surfaces.

They’re an odd pair – had they met under normal cat circumstances I don’t know that they would have taken to each other. Alas, life being the unpredictable and wily journey that it is, they have formed an undeniable bond and left a permanent paw print on each other’s hearts.

And mine!

Nomi Leasure is a creative project manager and columnist from Pittsburgh, PA. She lives in Brooklyn and has a weekly advice column for London based Taylor Magazine. She’s going on her third year in New York, loves print magazines, cocktails and, of course, cuddling her cats.
