CAT’S BOOK REVIEW:

“The best advice as a reader I have received was, “never judge a book by its cover.” Personally, I can say this is true about, “Find The Seeker!: The pathless path to fulfillment and happiness.”

Find The Seeker!, written by Author’s Clifford Stevens and Master Genro Xuan Lou, Laoshi, who is, by the way, one of the few living Zen Masters of our generation, have poured their wisdom and souls into this book. Simply well written, you will take a path of freedom, deep inner peace, and a journey of inspiration and enlightenment while reading this book. It doesn’t read as a traditional new age, or Zen type read, it truly will uplift you no matter who or what you believe to be a “power greater than oneself.”
I will note, I maintain life in recovery from addiction. This book can also serve as a type of “life workbook” for those who want to live a full deep meaningful live while maintaining recovery.

It can be read as a guide with the advice and unique techniques shared inside as part of our recovery work and look “within oneself” in changing those thinking errors and character defects. That is why my favorite chapters I got the most from was “The Ego and Non- Thinking.” Both author’s knowledge of knowing there are plenty of books out there about meditation and “how to’s” is why this book was exceptionally written and much different than those books.

This read inspires and motivates one to go out in the world and enjoy living life now and be present, be it travel, exploring, or through life adventures. It will guide you to a fulfilling and happy destination and well-balanced living for a lifetime. It can be adapted to any faith or as we recovery people say, to whomever our “Higher Power” happens to be.

That is just some of what I have learned reading this fantastic book and much more!

I highly suggest it for everyone, and it deserves my 5-star rating.

New Review By ~ Red Headed Book Lover Blog

Find The Seeker!: The Pathless Path to Fulfilment and Happiness is one of the most moving, enchanting and informative self-help guides that I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The description of this book intrigued me thanks to the sentence ‘a powerful, straight-talking wake-up call to people of all faiths and confessions.’ When I read this sentence, I was intrigued and wanted to learn more and so I knew that I had to read this book as well as review it for all of you lovely readers. Now that I have finished reading Find The Seeker, I can happily write that this self-help/spiritual guide is one of the most incredible books I have ever read from the genre so please book lovers, do read this book as you won’t regret it!

Find The Seeker is written by Genro Xuan Lou Laoshi, a Zen master and his pupil, Clifford Stevens. Throughout their enchanting book, they will enlighten their readers on many subjects; topics such as mind, body and spirit and personal growth as well as how to attain happiness. The authors of this stunning piece of nonfiction focus on the spiritual dimension… a dimension that everybody shares. They will blissfully take their readers on a journey on how they can live a fulfilling life, attain happiness and how to grow to who you want to be. EDITORIAL REVIEW:

Praise for Find the Seeker!

Find the Seeker! is fresh as spring grass and refreshing as a clear stream. The teachings in this book refuse to be confined to a spiritual checklist or manual of meditative techniques. Instead, the authors, again and again, challenge readers to return to the vibrant truth of original nature. Going beyond optimistic self-help and nihilistic despair, Genro Xuan Lou, Laoshi and Clifford Stevens remind us of how wonderful it is to let go of grasping and taste the vividness of direct experience.”

BOOK REVIEW: ‘The Truth She Knew’-By Author, J. A. Owenby . . .

ibe-jao-ttsk-cover-3d-nologo

ABOUT THE NEW NOVEL:

Mama didn’t want me. In fact, she would’ve traded my soul back for someone different if God would’ve let her, but he didn’t, so she was stuck with me.

For eighteen-year-old Lacey, life at home is a rollercoaster. She doesn’t think she’ll ever be good enough to truly deserve Mama’s love.

But when Lacey enters college and meets Walker, everything starts to change. Suddenly, Lacey is face to face with the realization that maybe what she’s always seen as normal really isn’t. Her entire life—and everything she’s ever believed about herself and her family—is abruptly hanging in midair.

Lacey is left facing two paths, and she has to make a choice. The first means walking away from everything she’s ever known. The other means never really knowing the truth.

The Truth She Knew offers an honest and powerful glimpse into mental illness, the meaning of true love, and the psychological waltz that a daughter dances as she endures her mother’s unpredictable emotions, manipulation, and abuse.

MY BOOK REVIEW:

Rating: 5 Stars
An Amazing Story Of Contemporary Fiction with a Message.

I was very excited to be picked to receive an early copy for an honest read and book review.

With that said, this book is painful, in-depth, and even though it is a piece of fiction, it comes with several strong messages.

One? Parents? Listen to your KIDS.

Two?
As a childhood sex abuse and parental trauma abuse survivor myself, I have to share I was at times when reading the abusive and explosive dysfunctional relationship between Lacey and Mama; it had transported me back in time to my painful teen years. Not a bad comment, this proves the author did her job as a writer well. As this is an exceptional look inside mental illness and will help many.

What takes place in this dynamic storyline is real and are serious topics. The way the author formed and wrote her characters, narratives and fiction storyline gives a hint she has been through something like this herself or with a loved one. It can be a daunting task and fine line when writing about topics like mental health & illness, addiction and recovery and others without the reader feeling lost or disinterested.

That does not happen in this book! It grabs you from beginning to end and makes you want ‘Book Two’ in this series ready to read NOW. It too is a love story and will make you feel like I did, on a roller coaster of emotions. The read made me giggle, shed some tears from the pains Lacey had, and so much more. That tells me the author as a “writer” did her job with “passion.”

An excellent read I Highly Recommend for all and especially women!

AN EDITORIAL REVIEW:

A bittersweet story of young love independence and soul-crushing manipulation. Just as Lacey is finding herself in life, growing in independence, and finding the sweet taste of love for the first time, her mother’s claws grow tighter and more painful as if she were trying to choke the life out of Lacey and completely break her spirit. A confused Lacey tries to make her mother love her through trying to anticipate her mother’s moods and desires and doing everything she can to please her.

These attempts are futile because her mother’s actions become increasingly more insane and erratic.. At the same time, Lacey both loves and hates her mother. Lacy lives a double life, trying to be a normal young woman with her abundance of friends, at school, and at work; and then living a horrific life at home. I fell in love with Lacey’s character and with Emma, her true friend. The author, JAOwenby, does a superb job of developing the characters and mixing normalcy with insanity throughout the plot. On the one hand, Lacey is an adorable and lovable young woman, and on the other hand, she is the victim of craziness and mind-numbing manipulation at home.

Even though she lives in an out of control situation, Lacey is strong and she consistently tries to make sense of her life and to figure out the truth of what is really going on. Lacey must find her strength to break out of her family pattern and become the person she truly wants to be. This bittersweet story makes you cry, laugh, get furious, and ultimately you feel like you want to rescue anyone who is living like this. You end up cheering for Lacey and wanting the best for her. Lacey’s family could be your neighbors- normal on the outside and deep darkness on the inside. This compelling novel, The Truth She Knew, shines the light on the impact of mental illness on family members and makes you want to know more about what happens to Lacey next.  —Dr. Sheri Kaye Hoff, PhD., Professional Life Coach

“Congrats To My Dear Friend Author, Dustin L John On His First Book Release! “

Hello and Welcome Readers and Book Lovers,

.

test3

Just in time for the holidays, I welcome my dear friend and now first time Author, Dustin L. John and his book release of: “A Walk in his Shoes” . . .

Now if this is not exciting enough for my best recovery supporter of mine, but he also contributed some of his addiction and recovery story in another new book release with other authors along with Author, Jake D Parent…
It is titled; “Hearts and Scars: 10 Human Stories of Addiction” . . .

.

Product Details
(click book to Amazon)
.About Hearts and Scars:
.
We lose more than 350 people every day in the United States to addiction. This collection of stories shows how the deadly disease is a conflicted struggle, not simply of broken people, but one that encompasses the human condition that affects us all.  The book consists of two sections. The first is a series of short fictional stories that portray individuals suffering from active addiction. The second is made up of real life tales of recovery, written by the people who experienced the journey themselves.
.
For those directly affected by this horrible affliction, these stories will help you make sense of your journey, both where you came from as well as where you are going. For advocates, policy makers, and others with the power to help, this collection will help humanize the issue. Because, while addiction may be a cunning, baffling disease, it is ultimately one that affects real people.

Only by understanding the humanity within those who suffer from it – as buried as it may sometimes seem to be – can we as a society find the courage and will to finally do what needs to be done to end the suffering.

.
Dustin L John
.

About Dustin The Author:

Dustin John was born and raised in Gallup New Mexico. At age 11, he moved to a small town in Southern Utah. Leading a seemingly normal lifestyle after graduating high school, Dustin’s life took a turn for the worse. A short time after a divorce lead him to bankruptcy, his life began the slow dive into addiction.

By age 22, he was jobless, homeless, running from the law, and searching for his next shot of heroin. Travelling across the western states in search of a safe haven, Dustin landed himself directly in the midst of a massive underground drug ring. After a decade of playing on death’s doorstep, Dustin made a miraculous escape into sobriety. Dustin and his father, Dallas documented Dustin’s drug riddled history in a uniquely written, father/son memoir titled “A Walk in his Shoes”.

Dustin’s father Dallas, passed away from an aggressive illness just months before the book’s final manuscript was published. Dustin has been sober since February 1, 2012 and continues to help in the fight against addiction. He resides in Southern Utah with his wife and their many reptiles.
.

About Dustin’s New Book Release:

Dustin’s life was once full of joy, happiness, security, and success. With a lucrative job, a wife, and a home of his own, he was destined for a life of fortune, prosperity and comfort. That was before heroin. This unique and gripping tale is the first of its kind to tell the story of addiction through the eyes of both father and son.

Together, Dustin and Dallas shine a blinding light on the dark life of a junky. As Dustin decides to travel across the western states in search of a safe haven, Dustin wanders within a few footsteps of his own demise. Instead of finding freedom, however, his addiction cascades into corruption, deceit, and evil. As alcohol and drug abuse continues to ravage every community in America, this groundbreaking memoir offers important insight into the inner workings of an active user, as well as the pain of those loved ones who must helplessly stand by as the family structure disintegrates from addiction . . .
–  –  –  –  –  –  –

Now of course I am NO James Lipton from ‘the actors studio’ but I had a few burning questions for my old friend to make him feel like he was “sittin on the HOT SEAT” a little bit. LOL.
But he handled the answers pretty damn well! …
.

My Burning Questions for Dustin:

1.) I know you are a fantastic blogger and write there, but what made you come to be a writer and share your recovery? —
“The main reason I became a writer is because I knew my story needed to be told. Studying addiction issues in the US made me realize that my experience with addiction could help other families and the only way I could get my story out to the world was to put pen to paper.”

2.) Who inspires you in your recovery? (Writer, Author, etc.) —  “My father was a great inspiration. He was not in recovery but he co-authored my latest book and told the family side of my addiction to heroin. He died of an aggressive illness months before we were able to publish the final manuscript. He was a photographer and a columnist at a newspaper for many years. I decided to dedicate the book to him.”

3.) Was there any fear around sharing your life in book form for the world to read about your addiction and recovery? —  “There is massive amounts of fear in publicizing my story. Many times in the editing process I felt like minimizing what I did while telling my story. Once I realized that my fear was a boogeyman and a great gauge for honest writing, I began to embrace that fear.”

4.) What can you reveal personally about yourself that readers may not know about you and any advice to others in recovery? —  “As a second hobby I breed exotic reptiles. I can also say my ABCs faster backwards than I can forward. One piece of advice I would give to the recovery community and to everyone as a whole would be to learn who they are and where they came from. There is nothing more helpful for gaining happiness in the world than self-knowledge. Taking an objective view of your childhood is the most powerful practice towards freeing yourself from dysfunction and other harmful human attributes.
Dig deep. Be open and honest. Connect. As Socrates said “know thy self!”

Do You Know What Day Today Is In History? Let Me Tell You With A Fantastic Suggested Read By: Author, Carl Baker

14 Days in July ~ by Carl Baker and Marc Heberden

About This Day In Our History . . .  On the 14th day of July in 1789, French revolutionaries storm Bastille.

Parisian revolutionaries and mutinous troops storm and dismantle the Bastille, a royal fortress that had come to symbolize the tyranny of the Bourbon monarchs. This dramatic action signaled the beginning of the French Revolution, a decade of political turmoil and terror in which King Louis XVI was overthrown and tens of thousands of people, including the king and his wife Marie Antoinette, were executed.

The Bastille was originally constructed in 1370 as a bastide, or “fortification,” to protect the walled city of Paris from English attack. It was later made into an independent stronghold, and its name–bastide–was corrupted to Bastille. The Bastille was first used as a state prison in the 17th century, and its cells were reserved for upper-class felons, political troublemakers, and spies. Most prisoners there were imprisoned without a trial under direct orders of the king. Standing 100 feet tall and surrounded by a moat more than 80 feet wide, the Bastille was an imposing structure in the Parisian landscape.

By the summer of 1789, France was moving quickly toward revolution. There were severe food shortages in France that year, and popular resentment against the rule of King Louis XVI was turning to fury. In June, the Third Estate, which represented commoners and the lower clergy, declared itself the National Assembly and called for the drafting of a constitution. Initially seeming to yield, Louis legalized the National Assembly but then surrounded Paris with troops and dismissed Jacques Necker, a popular minister of state who had supported reforms. In response, mobs began rioting in Paris at the instigation of revolutionary leaders.

Bernard-Jordan de Launay, the military governor of the Bastille, feared that his fortress would be a target for the revolutionaries and so requested reinforcements. A company of Swiss mercenary soldiers arrived on July 7 to bolster his garrison of 82 soldiers. The Marquis de Sade, one of the few prisoners in the Bastille at the time, was transferred to an insane asylum after he attempted to incite a crowd outside his window by yelling: “They are massacring the prisoners; you must come and free them.” On July 12, royal authorities transferred 250 barrels of gunpowder to the Bastille from the Paris Arsenal, which was more vulnerable to attack. Launay brought his men into the Bastille and raised its two drawbridges.

On July 13, revolutionaries with muskets began firing at soldiers standing guard on the Bastille’s towers and then took cover in the Bastille’s courtyard when Launay’s men fired back. That evening, mobs stormed the Paris Arsenal and another armory and acquired thousands of muskets. At dawn on July 14, a great crowd armed with muskets, swords, and various makeshift weapons began to gather around the Bastille.

Launay received a delegation of revolutionary leaders but refused to surrender the fortress and its munitions as they requested. He later received a second delegation and promised he would not open fire on the crowd. To convince the revolutionaries, he showed them that his cannons were not loaded. Instead of calming the agitated crowd, news of the unloaded cannons emboldened a group of men to climb over the outer wall of the courtyard and lower a drawbridge. Three hundred revolutionaries rushed in, and Launay’s men took up a defensive position. When the mob outside began trying to lower the second drawbridge, Launay ordered his men to open fire. One hundred rioters were killed or wounded.

Launay’s men were able to hold the mob back, but more and more Parisians were converging on the Bastille. Around 3 p.m., a company of deserters from the French army arrived. The soldiers, hidden by smoke from fires set by the mob, dragged five cannons into the courtyard and aimed them at the Bastille. Launay raised a white flag of surrender over the fortress. Launay and his men were taken into custody, the gunpowder and cannons were seized, and the seven prisoners of the Bastille were freed. Upon arriving at the Hotel de Ville, where Launay was to be arrested by a revolutionary council, the governor was pulled away from his escort by a mob and murdered.

The capture of the Bastille symbolized the end of the ancien regime and provided the French revolutionary cause with an irresistible momentum. Joined by four-fifths of the French army, the revolutionaries seized control of Paris and then the French countryside, forcing King Louis XVI to accept a constitutional government. In 1792, the monarchy was abolished and Louis and his wife Marie-Antoinette were sent to the guillotine for treason in 1793.

By order of the new revolutionary government, the Bastille was torn down. On February 6, 1790, the last stone of the hated prison-fortress was presented to the National Assembly. Today, July 14–Bastille Day–is celebrated as a national holiday in France.

Now, the rest of the story of  “14 Days In July” written in novel form by Authors Carl Baker and Marc Heberden. It has more twists and turns and inside secrets then you will ever read about in any history book. Here is what readers have said about this well written historical novel in currently 100 % all 5 Star Amazon book reviews:

14 Days in July Book Reviews:

A Best Seller For Sure!
“A page turner from the first to the last page.  An absolutely outstanding read! Carl and Marc have in my opinion, have a #1 Best Seller on their hands!”

Truly Amazing!
“This novel was truly amazing! I have never been to Paris, but the author describes it in such a manner, that I could picture it clearly. It was as if I were really there. The fourteen days leading up to the French Revolution are depicted vividly. The characters were all so well described and skillfully developed. The plot thickens and there are so many twists, turns, and chases throughout the streets of Paris, and also beneath the city in the forgotten catacombs. There is also another storyline about what happened 100 years before, involving a family secret that has been passed down through generations. This secret is the very core of the present day story. This novel is full of action and suspense. The reader is surprised by who turns out to be friend or foe. The romance is tender yet sizzling! It is indeed hard to put this book down once you begin to read it. I absolutely can’t wait to read the sequel!”

Riveting!
“This is a superb novel. It weaves together the French Revolution with the excesses of Louis XIV, the mystery of the Man In The Iron Mask, and even the Three Musketeers. I was fortunate enough to be in Paris on vacation while reading this book, and it made several of the places there come alive for me. Like the fiction of Philippa Gregory, the authors take known historical fact and fill in the unknown gaps with a plausible historical narrative. But there is a twist–for within that plausible historical narrative, there is a fascinating palace intrigue that forms a mystery in the genre of the DaVinci Code. I was especially impressed at the great care the authors took to describe the intimate details (including some steamy love scenes) seldom explored about French life before the revolution–the pathos of the proletariat and the peasants, the dissolving middle class, and the widening chasm between these classes and the insatiable appetites of the French aristocracy. I found the book riveting. It would make a great movie. Like other reviewers, I can’t wait for the sequel.!”

ABOUT THE NOVEL:

1 July 1789, Paris — Two weeks before the Revolution
France is undergoing a political upheaval unlike anything it has known before. Louis XVI is using savage mercenary forces and food blockages, to bring the people to heel. The country is a powder keg, and Paris is the fuse. In the midst of what could become bloody chaos, shadowy people— including the sinister and brutal chief of the Paris police—discover that a young Parisian laundress, Michèle Duvallier, whose fiancé is imprisoned for his political activities, knows a deadly, ancient secret that could shake France’s monarchy to its core. Michèle finds herself the object of a murderous manhunt. Her imprisoned fiancé’s citizen’s group, now led by his brother, is being chased from one hiding place to another. It is only during the fall of the Bastille that she learns why so many powerful people are hunting for her, but as well the shocking identity of who has been betraying them ….
.
September 1654, Burgundy — 135 years before the Revolution
A good-natured young man, an orphan, is mysteriously imprisoned with grotesque instructions to conceal his identity in such as way as to ensure he is to be forgotten for all time ….
The man in the iron mask was not a pure invention of Alexandre Dumas. The rumor of the existence of twin boys being switched, one of whom was to become Louis XIV, had been speculated on for well over a hundred years by many high sources— including Voltaire, who secretly told friends he had seen the man unmasked, and saw he was the king’s twin. But what Dumas, and no one else, wrote about, was the even more dangerous rumor that there was not only a switch, but as well … another lineage …

__________________________________________________________

So I am suggesting Carl’s novel to all my readers. I have not been a huge fan of historical novels, but after I read this one I enjoy them much more. I can tell you that knowing Carl Baker personally, he is a perfectionist when it comes to research and all the historical facts and locations in his novels. It’s what I feel you’ll enjoy the most about his writing, and other book readers do mention this fact in their book reviews.

One reader mentioned in his book review;  By Michael Gibson  “It weaves together the French Revolution with the excesses of Louis XIV, the mystery of the Man In The Iron Mask, and even the Three Musketeers. I was fortunate enough to be in Paris on vacation while reading this book, and it made several of the places there come alive for me.”

So grab your copy to read today,  this week, or this weekend. It also makes a great summer vacation read as well.

                                                      ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Profile picture.

“My name is Tim Jopling and I love any spy and espionage books, TV, or films! People always say you write about what you know and although I’ve never had any personal experience (I’ve worked in the IT sector for 16 years!) I’ve read a lot of novels (you can’t really beat the original Ian Fleming novels in my opinion) and watched as many TV shows and films as I possibly can. I’m a big James Bond fan (not the spoofy ones, my favourites are the grittier ones with Daniel Craig and Timothy Dalton is my favourite Bond – nothing to do with the name mind you!) and loved all the seasons of 24.”

Tim lives in Croydon, United Kingdom, and is a big tennis buff. He has coached tennis professionally and enjoys playing any chance he gets. He’s a runner as well. He is an IT Server – Network Manager by day, and a passionate spy/espionage writer by night. He attended John Ruskin College with A-levels in Computer Science and Business studies. He is married to his beautiful wife, (sorry ladies!), and enjoys football, Formula 1 and cricket.

Now I myself have read Book One of his Thriller Series, and I was blown away. It ‘s full of mystery, thrills, edge of your seat suspense! I normally don’t read these types of spy books and novels, but Tim has made me a fan of his, and I can not wait for the next installment to release. I gave him a 5 Star Review on both Goodreads and Amazon. Here is a bit more about his book series and the main characters of his thriller stories, and share what readers are already raving about Underground Murmurs!

WHO IS AKIRA?

The identity of Akira is still a mystery. Many people have theories on just who Akira might be but as yet we don’t know for sure. What we do know is that he was once married to a woman called Madeline but she died under mysterious circumstances some years ago. Since that tragic loss he now ‘hears’ Madeline in his thoughts and he is convinced she is still with him.
.
Akira calls on Madeline whenever he needs her the most and still wears a locket around his neck that was given to him during their marriage. Since the loss of his wife he dropped off the radar and resurfaced with his new identity, someone that the likes of Thomas Deane and the rest of MI6 don’t seem to be aware of. Akira is obsessed with a vision that both he and his wife share. A vision where the West no longer dominate the world and have to adhere to a new way of life.  Akira operates in the shadows pulling the strings as he tries to make his vision a reality. . .

WHO IS THOMAS DEANE?

Thomas Deane is a fiercely loyal MI6 agent and plays a leading role within the agency as a mentor figure. His partnerships with other agents have proven to be the most effective over the years. Deane is a patriotic man devoted to the service of his country and will follow the rules to complete any operation. With no children of his own he regards his partners past and present as the children he never had and will do anything to protect them. He can come across as aloof or arrogant but this is often a way of shielding his real feelings.

Thomas Deane was recruited by MI6 whilst still at Kings College University London over two decades ago and though he did marry in his late twenties he could never fully pull himself away from the service he values above anything else. The marriage ended and he hasn’t spoken to his ex-wife since.

Deane joined the agency at the same as Kevin Ramsey and though they were rivals in the early years they now have a healthy respect for each other and get on well. Ramsey has now risen to the Chief Of MI6 and decides on who Deane works with and what Operations he takes on. Deane had several opportunities to leave the field as he gained more experience but he turned them down, never seeing himself suited to management and a desk based role.

In Underground Murmurs we find Deane with his long-term partner Sam Olsen (Deane was also the partner of Olsen’s father when he joined the service two decades ago) and also the young rookie William Hawk. Deane’s experience and his ability to survive over two decades of service have made him a key figure to train younger agents but the older he gets the less open he is to new partners.

Reader Feed Back For Underground Murmurs  – Book 1

5 Stars ~ “I’m a spy fiction fan, so this was always going to be one for me. If you like Bond or Bourne, you’ll enjoy this – though it most reminded me of one of my favorite books series, Barry Eisler’s “Rain Fall” books. Recommended if you like any of the above!

5 Stars ~ “Really enjoyed this book. There was a lot going on to keep me interested and the Olsen and Deane relationship is great to read together with Akira lurking in the background to keep things interested. I’d recommend it!”

5 Stars ~ “The writing was fast paced and really pulled me in! I did love the story and I’ll be looking out for part two!”

Now I asked Tim a few questions of my own to see if I could get a little more ‘personal’ information about him that you may not read anywhere else about this Man Of Mystery.  .  .  . LOL. Her are his answers to my questions.
– – –

1.) How did you become a writer? What you made you decide to write? I had never thought of writing anything until I saw an episode of Season 1 of 24 back in 2001. It had a scene about a safe house, and a very small character call, Ted Paulson who was one of the government agents and it just blew my mind! Everything about it made such an impression, the character, the scene of the safe house being infiltrated, just how tense it was, there was so much visually it just blew me away. The very next day I started writing a short story called, Shadow-Hawk that I ended up using as a template for the style of writing I was looking for. I then used this for ‘Underground Murmurs’, using the some of the same characters, and it all just progressed from there.

2.) Since you have a full-time day job, what are your challenges as a writer? I think for me, it’s all about time and then making use of that time. I’ve always been someone that needs at least an hour of reading through what I had previously written (i.e. the previous chapter if I’m writing a novel) before I can write anything new. I have to get myself into the characters again, and back into the scene and the story. When you work full-time that makes it very hard to get any writing done! So lately I’ve tried to get myself organized on what I’m trying to do and make more use of the pockets of time that come up as I very rarely have an hour or more to spare. Its hard going, and that’s why I’ve enjoyed these short stories I’m working on (that follow ‘Underground Murmurs’), as they give me that flexibility.
Once I’ve mastered this I think I’ll be in a better place to write the next novel ‘Rogue Retrieval’.

3.) Since self publishing your first book, what is the best thing that has happened to you as an author?
I would have to say getting feedback from people that have read my book. Thankfully there has been more positive than negative, but either way its a real buzz to receive feedback from someone you are never going to meet but they enjoyed reading your book. There have been several examples of where they really ‘got’ what I was trying to do. That is so encouraging it really is!

4.) If you had one literary wish given to you, what would you wish for? I have five novels planned for this series (that includes ‘Underground Murmurs’), but as I work full-time it’s very difficult to make the progress I would like.  So I suppose if I had one wish it would be for it to be published in the mainstream, be successful, and allow me to do this as my all the time ‘job’ so to speak, and have the time to write the other titles as well as some spin-off’s!
