NOW A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM Maureen and her FURRY BABIES

How “My Dog is More Enlightened Than I Am”…During Quarantine

From A FURRY BABY:

…..

  1. If my dog mommy wants to take lots of naps, that’s fine with me, it’s what I do all day in many different places
  2. If mommy wants to binge-watch that big box with pictures on it, I love to snuggle so let’s do this!
  3. When mommy and dog daddy take me for my 10th walk of the day to get outside, I still get excited because there’s lots of new smells every-time!
  4. When I get another treat for being such a good boy/girl, I joyfully take it even if I’m full and may need to eat mommy’s grass to feel better
  5. As mom starts yet another project, I will be curious and get right in the middle so she knows I support her creativity
  6. When mommy goes potty, I will be sure to keep her company and watch like she does for me
  7. If mommy wants to dress me up in the silly outfits, I will let her because she tells me I’m soooooo pretty
  8. Now that I get baths so often, I’ll be sure to shake off water real good so mommy can cool off with me
  9. I will take out every toy in my box so mommy can pick out her favorite too
  10. I will go where she goes, rest when she rests, and try to bring smiles and laughter every day because..that’s my purpose and I’m so enlightened!!

Hello and Welcome Readers and Friends,

Meet my amazing friend Deb Morgan! She is about to become a first-time author and what a way to share her first published book and one full chapter of overcoming and encouraging other women to do the same within “Simply Amazing Women” Book Two of the book series published by former co-host of the Howard Stern show and current owner and talk show host for WMAP Radio Host K. “My name is Debra Morgan. I was born in Colorado and now live in Oregon. I am  55, married have 2 children, a daughter, and a son and 6 grandchildren. I am a Fibromyalgia survivor and I do not use that word lightly knowing that people I know and love now or have died from this insidious disease are reasons enough for me.

I was diagnosed with CFS in 1994 and Fibromyalgia along with IC in 2005. This diagnosis came because of the beginning of severe pain and other issues.  I am writing a book on my life with Fibro hoping that it will help reach people and help them to do what I do and live with fibro on their own terms. I now advocate and I support other people going through this by sharing what I learned and the skills and knowledge in surviving and even thriving despite living with Fibromyalgia.”

…..
Deb and I met through another mutual friend of ours and we love and began network together on “The Recovery Side of Things” and love to banter on social media with one another but we are serious about our ‘Recovery and we are Warriors’ as we have maintained recovery from addiction long-term. Who says you can’t have fun living life maintaining recovery? Deb and I “Live Life Fully” no matter what health challenges we face and what I love about her! Especially when we joke about getting older and getting more memory loss!! LOL.

I was so happy and proud when Deb told me she was chosen along with 12 other women from interviews K.C. had done with many women to write a chapter about what she has had to overcome, as each author shares and have written what they have had to endure and overcome in their lives. It is an inspirational, encouraging, and empowering read as these women share in each chapter.

Now, Deb and I both enjoy blogging and she has given us a preview of a new blog post she has up now on her blog called Deb-Spot.  I have shared some of her new blog-post at the bottom for those of you who may suffer or have Fibro or mental health challenges. I encourage you to visit her blog and read the whole post. Deb has a way of writing about her feelings and thoughts of her challenges so eloquently.

Here is more about the new book soon to release and can be pre-ordered now and sent when released through Barnes and Noble Pre-orders for Simply Amazing Women!

ABOUT THE BOOK: “Simply Amazing Women”

Life After Heartbreak: 13 inspiring examples to encourage and inspire you

Simply Amazing Women continues celebrity radio host K. C. Armstrong’s theme of human resiliency. Each of his13 interviews showcases a woman who courageously faced severe challenges and ultimately used the experience for the benefit of others. It’s not just about being a survivor; it’s about surviving to ease the path of people facing their own life challenges: addiction, discrimination, poverty, violence, and more.

Armstrong (formerly of the Howard Stern Show) uses his own background of self-destruction and poor choices to weave together excerpts of aired interviews taken from his WMAP Radio station. The diverse chapters and Armstrong’s commentary offer examples of hope, compassion, and forgiveness. Armstrong himself has turned his life around and has dedicated his remaining years to encouraging others to make whatever adjustments are necessary to obtain their own redemption, understanding, and inner peace. The upbeat message is one of belief in one’s own power to handle whatever life brings-with dignity and resolve.

Following his best-seller Simply Amazing, Special Author’s Edition (2019) Simply Amazing Women is published to celebrate and honor our mothers and grandmothers: women of strength, passion, and wisdom.

Bipolar Disorder Whispers Of The Depressed Mind

….
I started this blog post when COVID-19 was dropped into the world’s life and we Americans began to feel it in a painful way. The thoughts of what goes through my mind as someone who has Bipolar Disorder continues to change each and every day and more often during this time of stress and extreme sadness.

As it does on a daily basis by mind never stops talking or remembering songs or coming up with something else I need to do. I wish that I could get my mind to just shut up for a minute. When depressive circumstances are present the noise in my head begins to sound like a low whisper, never leaving, never slowing but as if a prayer of some sort it quiets as it changes and saddens.

…..

…..

In depression, no amount of cheerleading, self -help books, or inspirational sticky notes on the bathroom mirror can overcome the power of its grasp. I feel as though I am drowning, and no one is throwing me a life preserver, but I have no idea that there are none, and I better remember how to swim real quick.

“I will be stronger than my sadness.” ― Jasmine Warga

I hope and encourage you to visit her blog and read the “rest of her story”… You may connect with Author, Deb Morgan on social media too! FACEBOOK  – TWITTER.

Special Report Courtesy of The NY Times: Linda Tripp, Key Figure in Clinton Impeachment, Dies at 70…

Credit…Khue Bui/Associated Press}

Linda Tripp met with reporters outside federal court in Washington in July 1998, after her final appearance before a grand jury investigating an alleged affair between President Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.

Linda Tripp, the former White House and Pentagon employee whose secret audiotapes of Monica Lewinsky led to the impeachment of President Bill Clinton in 1998, died on Wednesday. She was 70.

Joseph Murtha, a former lawyer for Ms. Tripp, confirmed the death. No other details were given.

When Ms. Lewinsky completed her testimony about the scandal, she was asked if she had any final comments. According to CNN, she answered, “I hate Linda Tripp.”

Ms. Tripp always contended that she had revealed Ms. Lewinsky’s private confession of a sexual relationship with Mr. Clinton out of “patriotic duty.” She had worked in the White House under President George H.W. Bush and stayed on to work briefly in the Clinton administration. She was transferred to the Pentagon and its public affairs office.

Ms. Lewinsky, who had been a White House intern, was transferred there, too, in 1996, and the women, despite a 24-year age difference, became friends.

Random Coronavirus Thoughts

THIS Cat was very taken by these “Random Thoughts about the Pandemic” by my dear friend and Author, Joe Siccardi and why I am sharing his post with all of my readers. It is a tough time, a, at times filled with stress and anxiety over this virus. Joe offers us much wisdom, advice, and always with a “touch of faith & caring”… The thought at the end of his post is TRUE …
THOUGHT TO REMEMBER: All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts. – James Allen

I’ve been accused of not taking this coronavirus pandemic serious. Well, that’s not entirely true. I am taking the virus serious … but I’m not worrying about it — and won’t. Worry gets you nowhere except to Anxietyville. I can worry about the virus — or anything else in life — until the second coming and it won’t change a thing. The reality is I am NOT in control of things I cannot control. I AM in control of those things I can control — my prayer and personal life, my relationships, my actions {or inactions}.

By now, we are all feeling some effects of the pandemic. Some of us have gotten sick {not me} or know someone who has. Most of us have lost jobs and income. Just about all of us have been “sheltered in place” and had our regular routines disrupted. Life is decidedly different — for…

Book Club Mom’s March recap

Books, books, and more books!! One Amazing Literary Book Blog all my avid readers need to Check Out … It’s Awesome at “Book Club Mom” **Cat**

Book Club Mom's avatarBook Club Mom

I don’t think it’s possible to write a light recap of March. Or to write anything that we don’t already know. We’re all going through, or are about to, some version of stay-at-home restrictions, as well as the fear of getting sick. So I’ll just say that I’m working to find new ways to spend my time, inside our house.

The picture above is from the bird feeder we put out on our deck. All winter, there was no activity, but now it’s a hot spot for a few different kinds of small birds. It’s perfect timing to have something like that to look out at.

Here’s a rundown of what happened on my blog in March:
