Kaden James is a critically acclaimed best-selling writer and author of several literary works including, ‘Coach Yourself, The Daily Playbook, and REFLEKT,’ all available on Amazon. Kaden is a Readers Favorite 5-star Book Review recipient for two of his literary works and seeks a literary agent.

Born in Hayword, California, he moved to a small town in Idaho at the age of ten. Once grown, he made his way to Los Angeles after graduating early to pursue his dreams. As a successful model, singer-songwriter, and frequently on MTV, he recorded music for MTV’s ‘The Real World’ and writing and performing the theme song to both ‘The A-List: New York and Dallas.’ While the music scene and the fame was a fun ride, Kaden was ready and maturing into a new life direction and seamlessly transitioned into writing and the literary world.

About The Author:

Born in Patterson, NJ, raised in Queens, NY, his first job was delivering the New York Times. At the young age of 16, Dr. Castro started his first business selling vitamins. Later he joined the US Army and became a dental assistant to help pay for his college education.

He attended Texas A&M and graduated with a BS/BA in Biomedical Science and Political Science. Castro went to Medical School at UTMB, Galveston, Texas. He began writing books for other medical students as a way to pay for his medical books. He went to Emergency Medicine Residency in Bethlehem, Pa., and started his own Heart vitamin company.

When arriving in Dallas/Fort Worth TX area, his first job was to create over 30 iPhone Andriod apps in health care, a speaker for ACEP (American College of Emergency Physicians) for health care applications. Then as a consultant for health care companies, he founded the ‘Trusted ER in DFW.’ Dr. Castro has always had a passion for helping others and is currently working on his MBA and looks to graduate in December 2020.

Was happy to Beta-read the ebook for the author and was very moved by his stories …Don’t let the MD behind the author’s name fool you as this is not a medical book, but a beautifully written and well laid out step by step guide to living authentically and gain confidence while you accomplish your goals.

From humble beginnings, Dr. Castro shares his personal experiences and, at times, heartbreaking obstacles to overcome to get where he is today. Sharing some of the lessons learned and the wisdom gained, Castro has it all in this gem of a book for anyone to be motivated in reinventing your life! He shares the strategies and plans to attain them while achieving success!

It is the perfect time for this book during a pandemic as many may not be going back to the same jobs they had, so now is the time to use this book to make the changes necessary to move forward into something better.

Author Maxwell Ivey Jr. describes his book, The Blind Blogger’s First Speaking and Signing Adventures, as “part memoir/part self-help” and the two genres are inextricably entwined. Max takes us along on his journey from Texas to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, South Carolina, and Florida, sharing his successes, his troubles, and his life lessons along the way. The book is structured somewhat chronologically, although there are occasional re-routes to examine a back story along the way.

Most of the 32 chapters are a quick read and each includes priceless “key takeaways” at the end. While the storyteller may be unsighted, he has a keen vision for extracting opportunities to learn and grow from his experiences, and we are the beneficiaries. In his last chapter, he gathers all 95 inspirational key takeaways as a handy reminder for readers that they, too, can overcome obstacles and achieve more than they may have thought themselves capable of doing.

Right from the first page of chapter one, it was clear to me that Max Ivey could sense authors’ insecurities and wanted to help us erase them. He’s been there, done that. That is what happened to Darren Prince as he shares all in his intriguing memoir of “Aiming High.” Being a top sport and celebrity agent while representing some of the most iconic and legendary figures of our generation didn’t mean Darren was not immune from addiction either as he shares in his memoir.

Another lesson you will learn from reading Darren’s book. As a person maintaining recovery myself, I have learned that “Addiction of any kind does not Discriminate of whom it will touch”… Something Darren understands today and brave of him to share his testimony while sharing many memorable stories throughout his career as he weaves his downfall, but most important, how he fought like hell to gain his life back within recovery. He also proves we stay “sick as our secrets.” And that is part of the disease of drug addiction.

I won’t lie; it is impressive to continue working in a high-profile career and hiding a secret of drug addiction. But? The bigger you become? The harder they fall. But Darren got back up and now shares all to help others who may suffer in silence just as he had. He is a real example that if want your life back from addiction? You have to do the recovery work needed, and Darren shares it as well. The fantastic stories alone make the book a great read, but the clear message is there is HOPE after addiction, and recovery is possible for anyone.

“Aiming High” needs to be read by everyone because it has an extraordinary message of endurance, acceptance, and HOPE.

As the opioid epidemic continues to worsen in this country, people need to learn more about it, especially if anyone close to you is battling this horrible addiction aka disease of the mind. This story is almost surreal, but shows how it can happen to anyone! This book was extremely well written. One of those rare books you won’t put down until it’s complete!

Darren and I have worked together for 24+ years. During that time, he has worked 24/7, negotiating memorabilia signings, speaking engagements, appearances, and other services. It’s an honor to write the foreword for his book.

Transitioning from being a renowned athlete to a successful businessman was not easy, and I like working with people who are trustworthy, motivated, and efficient. Darren was all of the above. After the second time working together for one of my signings, Darren told me that his parents were downstairs in the hotel lobby and asked if they could join us. Meeting Darren’s parents helped me realize how important family was to him. His business wasn’t about making money; it was about building relationships and growing extended family. He made me a part of his family, and he became a part of mine.

Two years later, Darren shared his dream to become an agent and start Prince Marketing Group. He was young, but he had a plan and he knew what he wanted to do in life. I wanted Darren to be more than successful, so I continued to work with him as his client. Over the next few years, I watched as he worked with some of the biggest stars in sports and entertainment, such as Smokin’ Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali, Pamela Anderson, Chevy Chase, Larry Bird, Dennis Rodman, Hulk Hogan, and many, many others.

As good friends, in 2006 Darren talked to me about very challenging times that he was undergoing, the most challenging being an opioid addict. “Earvin,” he said, “I can’t get out of bed in the morning or function during the day without painkillers. It’s taken over my life. Talking, traveling, working out, eating; I can’t do anything without the pills. I can’t stop.”

Nothing was bigger than the painkillers that he was addicted to, which were slowly taking his life. I had seen too many lives destroyed from addiction and knew he needed to get his life in order. It took some time for Darren to reach complete sobriety. After almost nearly losing his life to opioids, Darren overcame the addiction and built a greater life through his recovery.

Through sobriety, he has continued to expand his business, and he is using his testimony to help others fight their addiction. Amidst all the tragedy that has resulted from this opioid epidemic, Darren has the courage and support to share his story and inspire thousands of people in this book. Darren is a survivor!

“Today, Darren doesn’t just represent the biggest stars; he has become a star in his own right in the world of recovery.”

He speaks in schools all over the country, and he is dedicated to Turning Point, where he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at their recent gala. Darren has appeared on Dr. Oz and other national media to share his message on recovery.

Recently, he began working with the White House Commission on Combating the Opioid Crisis, where he plans to educate youth on how they can build self-worth and faith so they don’t go down the same road he did.

Over the years, I have watched Darren Prince grow in his business, tackle his addiction, and now lead a life of spirituality and inspiration. I am extremely proud of the man he has become, and I am honored to be a part of Darren’s family.

Clyde and Wanda is a work of fiction with Christian themes and plenty of interpersonal family drama and was penned by author Cynthia Ulmer. In this second novel in The Cedar Cove Chronicles, we find ourselves following the Jansen family seven years after the events of book one, in which Todd wondered about his Uncle Clyde who had disappeared whilst off at war. Now Clyde has returned and gotten married, started a family and a business. He had hoped life would finally settle down for himself and his wife Wanda, but the past always finds a way of catching up with us when we least expect it.

Author Cynthia Ulmer writes family fiction with plenty of details and nostalgic, highly descriptive moments. The atmosphere of the work overall makes it feel like you’re living in a black and white movie, with strong characters who are easy to relate to. Wanda’s backstory becomes more interesting and heart-breaking by the minute, making for an intriguing plotline that develops the family dynamics more and more.

Readers who appreciate a strong message of Christian values such as faith and devotion are sure to enjoy the novel on that level too, and Clyde makes for a strong hero character in that respect as he tries to keep his life together despite the ever-present threat of trauma and trouble returning.

Overall, Clyde and Wanda make an excellent addition to a strong family saga with plenty of vivid characters and memorable moments: A most highly recommended read.
