Hello and WELCOME BACK Recovery Friends, Seekers, And Supporters!

Welcome Readers, Friends, and New Friends!

Margo Bond Collins, lives in Texas with her husband, their daughter, several spoiled cats, and a ridiculous turtle. She teaches college-level English courses online, though writing fiction is her first love. She enjoys reading urban fantasy and paranormal fiction of any genre and spends most of her free time daydreaming about vampires, ghosts, zombies, werewolves, and other monsters…

Laney Harris didn’t want to live there. When her mother remarried and moved them to a town where a date meant hanging out at the Sonic, Laney figured that “boring” would have a whole new meaning. A new stepsister who despised her and a high school where she was the only topic of gossip were bad enough. But when she met the school counselor (and his terminal bad breath), she grew suspicious. Especially since he had wings that only she could see. And then there were Josh and Mason, two gorgeous glimmering-eyed classmates whose interest in her might not be for the reasons she hoped. Not to mention that dead guy she nearly tripped over in gym class.
She was right. Boring took on an entirely new dimension in Fairy, Texas.

MY REVIEW FOR MARGO’S BOOK, FAIRY, TEXAS…
Fairy, Texas is very well written! The storyline, and Laney especially I could truly relate to her. In real life many of us like Laney, we grow up and all face life challenges, even in High School! The story takes you on a magical ride! Many of us have had the experience of moving to some new place, and Laney finds more than she bargained for when not wanting to just “Hang Out” at the local Sonic! I enjoyed Margo’s funny sense of humor in her writings. Not to mention the “Mystical Fantasy” touch’s of her book and story keep you gripped to the book.
.
It actually had some ringing of one of my “FAV” movies, “Footloose”! Coming to a new sleepy town, having to make new High School friends, guys interested in Laney, But for what?, and more “Crazy” in Fairy than a Big City! This book was a delight to read. “Hats Off to Margo,” as I’ll be patiently waiting for her next book of Laney’s continued “Adventures in Fairy, Texas”! I rate & review her book as 5 Stars!! BRAVO!….

Happy Reading!!

My good friend “Wendy Ewurum” is at again with another *FABULOUS* Author Blog Tour! I’M HAPPY to WELCOME AUTHOR, “SYLVIA HUBBARD” and her fantastic book titled;
“HIS SUBSTITUTE WIFE,…My Sister”
Here is a little more about Sylvia Hubbard & her book!….
.
.
Detroit native, Sylvia Hubbard, a single mother of three, has worked tirelessly to promote and encourage emerging writers in Michigan. She independently published her first romance novel in 2000 and has continued to write in that genre, sometimes venturing into other subgenres. Always urban and contemporary styled, her writing is enjoyed all over the world.
She has published 4 paperbacks and over 10 e-books. The same year she published, Ms Hubbard also created Motown Writers Network to fill the lack of education and networking for Michigan authors online and offline.
By 2004, she was frustrated that all the literary conferences had moved too far away from the city and co-created The Essence of Motown Literary Jam Conference held only in the City of Detroit annually.
.
In addition to romance writing, Hubbard has been featured at various conferences and workshops all over the United States and Canada, where she has taught authors how to sell their books on the Internet. She also published Internet Marketing for Writers & Businesses as a resource for those unable to attend her workshops. In the upcoming year, she will be featured in several anthologies and plans to publish additional e-books.
“I’m no superwoman,” she states with a smile that seems infinite on her lips. “I’m just being an asset in the world instead of a liability.”
Considered an addicted blogger by HoneyTechblog.com, nominated and recognized for her literary work in the Metro Detroit area, referred to as “A Literary Diva” by Detroit City Council and donned “Cliffhanger Queen” by her readers, she finds solace in speaking and educating on a variety of topics.
Her subjects range from Creative Intimacy, Single Parenting, Blogging, E-Books, Publishing (all aspects i.e.: writing, publishing, marketing & promoting online & offline), and personal triumphs with inspiration mixed in.
Never a disappointment, Sylvia Hubbard, has spoken in front of thousands all over the United States and Canada. Check out her

So it seems every time I find an awesome new place to “Share” myself, my books, and my blogs on the worldwide web, and the issues I “Advocate” for, they seem to get bought out, or just go away. Just like “Klout” has recently merged with “Lithium,” VIZIFY has been bought by YAHOO, and they are going away forever!
We started Vizify in 2011 with the vision of transforming the information that we all consume and create every day into something more beautiful and personal. We were awed and grateful to see this vision taken up by so many of you as you built and shared our graphical bios, info-graphic cards, and videos.
Since last summer, we’ve been engaged in a conversation with some of the incredible folks at Yahoo about the ways this more visual approach to data can inspire and entertain. As our conversations progressed, we realized we’d found a partner who shared our passion for user experience, design, and visualizing information. Ultimately, we just couldn’t say no to the opportunity to bring our vision to the hundreds of millions of people who use Yahoo every day.
As part of the transition to Yahoo, we will be sun-setting the Vizify service (read below for more detail). As for what’s next, we can’t talk specifics just yet, but we’re excited to bring a more visual approach to data at Yahoo. We have a lot more up our sleeves and can’t wait to get started.
.

I get in the lift and there’s a teenage girl already in there, phone in hand, some shitty K-Pop blaring out of it.
She smiles at me when the doors close and I say, you know, not everyone wants to listen to that shit.
She doesn’t reply so I go on, thinking she no speak Engrish: I mean, if you’re going to listen to something, you could at least make it good. Why does everyone who listens to music on their phone only listen to shit?
The girl looks down at her screen and I say: well, are you going to turn it off?
The lift stops, the doors slide open and the girl gets out. Another girl is waiting. The first girl says, you’re right. He is a dick.
I hit the door open button, and say, hold on, what did you say?
The first girl repeats, you’re a…

*I have honed, and I have to tell you it’s awesome! You’ll meet many talented people from all over the world. And you’ll find some interesting blogs and websites too! So, as many know, I only ask 2 simple questions of all by “Blog Guests,” and Jessica is no different. So here are the 2 questions I asked her about http://www.honelife.com and what she was kind enough to share with all of us*….

.
1.) Is there a story behind how HoneLife came about?
The concept of HoneLife came to me during a personally difficult time. I was feeling “trapped” in a career I did not like. Trapped because I “should be thankful to have a job”, trapped because I had no other skills or training, and trapped because quitting would mean disappointing and worrying those who cared about me. When you’re dissatisfied with how you are spending the majority of each day, it’s extremely difficult to become happy. Yes, there are evening hours and weekends away from work, but the lack of enthusiasm I had for my job bled into all other areas of my life. Instead of spending time doing activities I enjoyed or pursuing new hobbies that could potentially lead to some joy, I instead would come home from work, sleep, spend endless hours staring a screens (phone, computer, tv, sometimes all three at once), and then sleep some more.
.
Nothing about my daily routine was going to get me out of the funk I was in. I would imagine what I would do if I was one of those people who had energy, motivation, and courage. Writing came to mind, but what would I write about? My educational knowledge was based on a career I was trying to escape. I then heard a piece of advice that changed my way of thinking, don’t write about something just because you know about it, write about something because people will want to read it. It sounds simple, but that idea got me thinking less about myself, and more about creating something meaningful and useful for others.
.
I knew I was not the only one who experienced social media remorse–that feeling of guilt that comes from wasting time mindlessly perusing social media sites. So then I thought, because social media is here to stay, what if there were a social media site that instead of distracting you from reality, it encouraged you to engage with it? What if it could motivate you to discover or reawaken creativity and passion? It was then that the idea for HoneLife hit me, and I remembered what it felt like to be passionate about something. A few months later, having resigned from my job, I started development on the website and on the new me!
.
Right now HoneLife.com is centered around a “word of the week.” The word is used to prompt awareness and creativity. Members submit their creative perspective of the word in the form of poetry, paintings, photos, stories, etc. Being a very new site and having limited functionality, I’ve been overjoyed with the positive response from the creative community. I’m ecstatic for members to see the upcoming improvements and additions. There will be many new ways and opportunities to inspire and be inspired.
.
2.) What is the most exciting experience that you enjoy about HoneLife?
Jumping head first into a new venture is beyond intimidating. It can be easy to want to give up and slip into old, familiar habits. It can be easy to believe the naysayers and the statistics that “prove” the odds are against you. You will have moments when it’s hard to recall what was so bad about your old way of life–it had to be easier than this. But then there are those times of triumph.
Those times you accomplish something the old you would have never even attempted. Those times when you realize what you are doing resonates with who you want to be. For me many of those moments come at the end of a good workday, when time has flown by because I was busy enjoying what I was doing, or when I hear from a member that HoneLife got them out of writer’s block or inspired a group discussion. People should never feel “trapped” in their life. Changing your course is never easy, but not changing it is detrimental. Start by finding a positive outlet. Recall what used to make you feel energized and excited. What could you spend hours doing as a child (e.g. building, drawing, cooking, performing)? Remind yourself of what you’re capable of and who you are at your core. Foster your passions until there is no time left in the day for things that bring you down.
.
*I really understand what Jessica is saying about how we can get to feeling “stuck” in life sometimes. Hone Life is such a fantastic way to release all your creative energy by sharing what you think the “word of the week” may mean in your own life by describing it in writing, or a poem perhaps, or maybe even with pictures. Don’t be afraid to let go and share all your talent! I have met some interesting people from all over that may not have found me on any other website or blog, and that’s why “HONELIFE.COM” is so different and “Special”! So go by and say Hi to Jessica and experience Hone Life for yourself*
.
I want to “THANK” Jessica Wood of Hone Life for letting me spotlight here amazing concept with all of my friends here. And as always,…..tell Author Catherine Lyon sent you!
