I Was Just A Little Girl From I Thought, A Normal Family…..

“ONCE UPON A TIME I WAS JUST A LITTLE GIRL”
.
Daily Prompt: Those Dishes Won’t Do Themselves (Unfortunately)

.
Young, Little and Innocent. Doing everyday things little girls seem to do. Play hopscotch, dress-up, play with Barbie and Ken, and loved my “easy bake oven.” But then one day that all changed….
All I ever wanted was  “Unconditional Love” from my parents. I spent a lot of years just wanting their “Approval,” and just to hear, “Catherine, we are proud of you”…It took to many years to count….

.
“ONCE UPON A TIME WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL”
I remember the first time awful things happened to me as a little girl. It started as a game while playing with my little best friend at her house up the street. Her parents were working, and her high school brother was home babysitting her. The afternoon started with “Ice Cream, Candy, and Games” as they say abusers “Groom” their victims. Then we played a game of hide n seek, and somehow I ended up in a bedroom closet with HIM, all alone in the dark.

In that dark black closet, things happened to me that no little girl need EVER go through. I felt scared, alone, and confused when he touched me. He told me if I told anyone he would hurt me, and my parents would know I was a liar, and wouldn’t believe me. They would punish me. Sadly, I believed him…
This happened many times. Times when my friend and I had sleep overs at her house, or just playing during the day. He would always somehow get me alone. This went on for a few years until one day,……he died.

I then began to think it was all my fault that he died. You see, every night when I was in bed alone, I would say my nightly prayers to god, and I always ended with a “plea” to have god make HIM not touch me ever again in that hurtful way. I prayed to god if he would just let him die or go away so he could not hurt me again.

Our family was told by his parents that he had the flu real bad,  he must have got up during the night in his room and he fell and hit his temple of his head on the night stand. He fell face down and was bleeding from the nose & mouth and suffocated. His parents were devastated, and my parents couldn’t believe the loss of a child. I remember his mom crying uncontrollable. My parents helped my best friends parents get through it by helping with making funeral arrangements. So of this I learned when I got older, as our parents stayed friends for many years to come.

I still began to slowly withdraw into myself. I felt dirty. I could not process why, but it’s how I felt. I knew what he was doing was wrong, and I felt helpless to say no or stop it. Even they way I acted around others when he was around my family didn’t even wave any red flags. People thought I was being shy, when inside my head I was screaming!! And now he has died! I felt it was all my fault. More hurtful baggage I’d carry into adulthood. I also could not understand my best friends feelings. She had no reaction to her brother’s death. No tears, didn’t talk, nothing,…..kind of like me. Of course later in life that made me feel that he had to have been hurting her to.

I know it sounds cold, but I felt a sense of relief that he would not touch again. But sadly, it only lasted a year or so. As another man became my next monster. A man who was a friend of my fathers. And my nightmare began all over again…..WHY ME?

Just Sharing Some New Tips For Writer & Bloggers

Hello and Welcome Friends, Peekers, & Visitors,

If you are a writer, author, and blogger like me, and looking for some places to get more traffic and exposure for what ever it is your promoting, then I have a few tips on some websites you may find interesting to go try for Free!

I do use these sites for many different reasons. To start, I moved my writers blog here to WordPress because they are a fantastic blog hosting site, and I set up and designed my blog to be simple and easy to read, all by myself for FREE. Their instructional video and written follow along instructions are the best for even not so competent computer users like me to figure out to easily make a blog. I’m more about “Content” on my blog than the “Looks” of my blog.

So as I come across many helpful sites that can make my writing or blogging easy and save me time with gained exposure, then I enjoy passing it on to help others.
So if your thinking about a new hosting place for your blog, check out WordPress while your here.
My next 2 tips are to help you get more traffic to what ever you do. If it’s a blog, website,  for any purpose, and love “Social Media,” then you really need to check out http://about.me.com
Here is what About.me does for you, as I use and added my Page as my “Author Bio” on my blog. They have a link tool to add your about.me page into your Blog or Website!:
.

It’s All About You!:

Having an about.me page will make it easier for people to find and learn about you.

Build Your Presence!

It’s a great place to start, or improve your presence on the web.

  • Public Profile

Your public ID online. Visitors don’t have to sign up to see any of your information.

  • Market Your Business

Drive awareness for your business with a simple, beautiful page.

    Helps With Job Search

Give your applications a personal touch by adding your about.me URL.

    • Personal Homepage

No need to know code or build your own site. About.me is free and easy to set up.

    • Central Point Of Contact

Stay organized by putting all your links in one place.

*It’s a fun, fast, and easy to make a page, and you’ll increase your web or blog presence.
Here is my page, http://About.me/AuthorCatherineLyon *

This company is out of San Fran, that offers a free or cost upgrade page for you to create in little time. Their  community is different and “Powerful,” and you can follow,  your “Page” be followed, or complement other people’s pages, they can compliment yours with share buttons for Twitter and many other sites. You can make collections of friends with different categories. I get shared & complimented a lot on Twitter! So check out how About.me can increase you exposure on the web!
.
My next site is brand new to me, and it’s also a great way to make a “Social Media Impression” through! You add all your Links on social media, your blogs or websites and they do all the “Mixing and calculating” to make YOU LOOK GOOD!

First, second, even third impressions don’t just happen across conference tables or at cocktail parties anymore. If you use social media regularly, chances are good that your future boss, potential clients, even your next drinking buddy, are getting to know you by going online.
.
Just what are they getting to know?  It’s easy for them to find out you work at Acme Corp. But do they know you just ran a marathon? That you just finished reading the complete works of Dickens? That you make a mean bowl of chili?

Which version of you do they see? Which version matters?

At Vizify, we believe they all matter. Because you are more than the sum of your parts.   Vizify helps you transform all those interesting impressions you make online into one definitive, multidimensional, graphical biography, without ever asking you to face a blank screen. It’s the easiest, most advanced tool for showing the best of you online, all in one place.
.
So I urge you to go check out WordPress.com, About.me.com, and Vizify.com and see if they can help you in any way. They do save me time and increase my web presence all in one!
.
My next tip is for the “Writer” inside you! One of the reasons I started my Author/Writers blog here was for a few reasons. One is TOO WRITE!…LOl and write I do. I maybe a Published Author with my current book, Addicted To Dimes, (Confessions of a liar and a Cheat)……”Shameless Plug” http://www.amazon.com/dp/0984478485
But I set this blog up also to become a “Better Writer”…..

Of course a “Good Editor” can make us authors & writers look really good on paper, and inside our book covers, but I want to grow and learn as a writer to. So one place I do this is at: http://yeahwrite.me  …. They have several “Weekly & Weekend Writing Challenges.
Even though my passion is writing, I need to practice my craft in order to grow as a real writer.
So what better way then to do writing challenges. It is another reason I chose WordPress to as my blog host site. They also offer their own Weekly & Daily writing challenges as well. Here is a little about “Yeah Write Me”….
.
yeah write
.
A writer’s community for writers who blog and bloggers who write!
.

Become A Yeah Write Subscriber!

Yeah write is growing quickly and it’s become one of the best groups for writers on the Internet. When it comes to supporting writers who have smaller blogs and writers who are learning to write for an audience, yeah write is the best you’re going to find.

Yeah write is:

  • the smaller blogger’s long lost tribe, the Okaformee Moonshiners. Mascot: four beautiful people soaking in a bubble bath of gin. Official flower: the iPad.
  • when we are on our best behavior, a blog reader’s paradise. There are no commercial or gimmicky sponsored posts snuck onto the grid. The casual surfer can stumble over us, click a thumbnail and start reading what we know will be a pretty decent personal narrative.
  • a surprisingly fun way to spend Tuesday through Thursday in good company while other, more dramatic, yet somehow less important, shiz is going down on the Internet.
  • experienced writers helping emerging writers helping beginning writers struggle with the decision of writing for a public audience. We do not abandon our beginning writers who speak up and don’t quit.
  • an open community where writers and bloggers can submit when they want and not submit when they don’t want. When you finally get bored with our shenanigans and unsubscribe, we heal our broken feelings with a new design element. True story. Typeface, graphic or WordPress template. Sometimes sushi.

Yeah write is not:

  • for everybody. And that’s okay. We all have personalities and working styles best taken in small doses, and ours come with a really long list of contradictions. Take our managing editor, especially, with food, hard liquor and big chunks of dark, cynical humor.
  • your writing partner. If you don’t have one, find one. Start looking here if you like, search a few writing groups, but beware the hidden agenda. Some people live to discourage the dreams of others. And some don’t know enough about the process, about the art, to be considered your writing equal. You need a writing partner, not an intern.
  • a replacement for a writer’s workshop or an instructor-led class. Sometimes, you just need to be in the same room with the person you’re trusting with your hard work.
  • your first drafts folder. Bring your best stuff doesn’t always mean bring it right now. It never means bring the best you happen to have on you, cohesive narrative be damned. Bring us your best stuff when you know it’s gonna be the best on the grid.
    .

WHY YEAH WRITE WORKS!

Yeah write is supported by a wonderful core of writers. Many of those writers have hung out with us since 2011, the year we got started bringing our own brand of the weekly writing challenge to the Internet. Along with that faithful core, we have a transient community of writers. Those writers may or may not know what it is we do here, and we are happy to explain on various pages published on yeah write for those willing to explore and click around. This “why yeah write works” page is being lifted from our yeah write #109 weekly writing challenge from May 2013. It’s long, it’s nearly 1500 words. It’s here if you need it and even if you don’t, kind of like the drunk uncle who is always good for a pint on your loneliest days. Thanks for reading and learning and for being here with us at yeah write, the best place on the Internet for writers who blog and bloggers who write.
.
And last but not least….if you are a Blogger, you may want to check out, NetworkedBlogs!
It’s an interesting site that gets “Readers and Bloggers” together. YOU share your great Content to many New People and share News!  http://www.NetWorkedBlogs.com

So take some time to go visit their site, as I have BOTH my Recovery and Writers blogs on the site and saw many NEW Readers to both my blogs! When I began to write my first book, one of the best tips I ever got was just “Write What You Know”…..

That is what I do on my Recovery blog. I share “The Rest Of My Recovery Story”there.
I also write about living with Mental illness & Emotional disorders in which I suffer, and I began to open up recently about being a “Sex Abuse Survivor” as well. It happened to me when I was a little girl, but……it added fuel to my addictions because I used addiction to “Escape & Hide” from the “Old Wounds” that came back knocking on my door in my early 40’s. Those pains and hurt contributed to my gambling and alcohol addiction, and why I went down that path. The drinking I got control over quickly, it was the addicted gambling that became my Major Demon. But I’m happy and PROUD that I just *Celebrated* my 7 year Recovery B-day a few days ago on Jan 29th 2014!!! And WRITING & Journaling was one of my Tools to get there! So,…I write what I know. So back to Yeah Write Me….
.
*So if you enjoy writing and want to grow as a writer, I suggest checking out http://yeahwrite.me and see if they are a good fit for you. They use badges and Inklinkz to post and link your writing challenge submissions, as this to will increase your blog or website traffic as yeahwrite.me encourages all their writers to go and read all entry submissions and  “Vote” on the “Weekly” ones. I really enjoy their challenges! So these are my “Tips” for
this week. Off to find some news to share Next Week*!!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Born in 1980, Jillian Kleine Der Löwe, originally dreamt of being a time traveler… Either that or the Supreme Empress of the whole entire bloody Universe. Since, those jobs are not yet available until she defies the laws of physics…

She’s settled with being an author… She’s a writer by day and (not your average) space cadet by night. With many years of experience in the publishing industry, she decided that the time had finally come for her to publish the novel which she had always dreamt of writing. With a steady supply of tea streaming through her veins, she enthusiastically and excitedly battles each day passionately crafting stories, one chapter at a time! She spent her youth glued to the television screen watching BritComs, which ultimately inspired her writing. She started dreaming nightly about what would become the Seven Deadly Sins series in 1991. She wrote the series as a sitcom in 1995, but shelved the project to focus on her schoolwork. Eventually, she returned to the series when she just couldn’t get it out of her head. She’s now living in Florida with her adoring husband Michael (whom she has somehow managed to remain madly in love and enamored with after eleven years) and their three mischievous albeit cute feline minions: Behb, Girlie and Skittles. She lives her dream of writing full-time and paying it forward to aspiring author.

Why did you choose to write Wicked?

I feel like this story chose me. I’m a vessel to tell this story, almost like automatic writing. I was shown a glimpse of what was, what is and what could be.

How much of the book is realistic?

Even though Wicked is a fantasy, some elements are very realistic. The CIA really did have a Project Stargate that researched military application of psychic abilities. The Otherkin community is very real and vast. The locations in my book are described as how they actually are. All of the locations visited on the Earthly plane really do exist.

Can you tell us about your main character?

Sev is an amalgam of many goddesses and spirits that all share similar energies. At her core, she’s very driven by a strong set of values. She cares deeply for other people. Her biggest strength is her sense of humor and her uncanny was of perceiving things. She loves Luc and is completely enamored with him, as he is her. They’re completely devoted to one another.

Have you included a lot of your life experiences, even friends, in the plot?

I haven’t really included people I know so much, although certain elements of Luc and Michael are based on my husband. I went through a period in my life from 2008 – 2012 where a lot of my friends passed away and for the first time in my life, I knew what it felt like to be sad. Before that, I had never really experienced loss or sadness. I handled it all very well. I also endured a few major betrayals during that time and they influenced certain elements of Wicked.

Have you developed a specific writing style?

My writing style is definitely campy, goofy, irreverent, offbeat, quirky, satirical and witty.

Did writing this book teach you anything and what was it?

I did learn many things. I was not looking forward to formatting in Scrivener, but it turned out to be so easy. I’ve learned a lot about other people. Like, writing and publishing this book really did teach me who my real friends were, because they were supportive and happy for me when my book was published.

Do you have an organized process or tips for writing well? Do you have a writing schedule?

When I’m working on a novel, I write all day, seven days a week. My process starts out with putting together a playlist of music and listening to it. While listening to my playlist I daydream up the whole story. Then I use Astrology for Writers and Tarot for Writers by Corrine Kenner to do a loose outline that’s usually a page long. Then I just start writing and it all flows very naturally.

Tell us about your new book? What’s it about and why did you write it?

Lured, the sequel to Wicked, is much darker and more introspective. While still being just as comedic and having the same level of twist and turns. Wicked was about initiating action. Lured is more about reflection and moving on from the past. All of the characters will be back… Sev, Luc, Leon and Ace. I’ve also added in a few new characters that are deliciously dark like Cain and Vlad (who was the historical basis for Dracula). Lured also delves deeper into the back story and the whole shadow government storyline figures much more prominently.

What kind of support, if any, have you received from friends in the writing industry?

I do have friends in the industry. Some work for publishers and others are consultants. Some are designers, others do marketing. They’ve all been very helpful. I’ve not really asked for their help, except to let me know what they think of my advertising copy and stuff like that. Or if someone gives me a price quote for a service that sounds really unreasonable, I’ll check with my friends to verify if my suspicions about unrealistic pricing are accurate or not… They’ve helped me from getting scammed.

What other jobs have you had in your life?

My first job was when I was in high school and that was at a bookstore, of course. When I graduated from high school, I worked in IT first as a Technical Analyst and then as a Systems Administrator before deciding to go to college and pursue my dream. My very first start in publishing was actually as a model. I modeled for various magazines. Yet, I found that I really wanted to be admired for my mind and not for my appearance. So, I started working at publications as a Junior Designer and worked my way up to Creative Director before switching to Advertising, Marketing, Promotions and Public Relations since those were a much better fit for my outgoing personality.

Do you intend to make writing a career?

Yes, I intend for writing to be my career while still focusing on art and filmmaking as well. I originally went to school for film. Wicked started out as scripts for a sitcom. I ended up falling in love with publishing. But, I’d still love to turn the Seven Deadly Sins series into a visual format for cable or television.

“Lets Walk Without Our Shoes Down Childhood Memory Lane”

A New DPChallenge Accepted!
1/27/2014
Weekly Writing Challenge: Leave Your Shoes at the Door

“I am a woman in recovery from addicted compulsive gambling for 7 years, a child sex abuse survivor, and a “Writer in Progress”  living with Bipolar II disorder, with Manic Depression and Panic with Agoraphobia.
YES, I know,…that sure is a mouth full, but it is my life, and “It is what it is.” But man, wish I could leave my present life, and go back in time to those childhood days of innocence…..
.
Embedded image permalink
.
Those days that all we worried about was hearing the school bell ring, so we can get home and play with all our neighborhood friends! Play until it was dinner time, then come back out after, and until it got dark. Yes, those were the good days of “Just Being A Little Kid.”….
.
Today, I’m a first time published author, writer, and blogger, and it seems I always tend to write about all the “BAD” stuff that I have been through in my 51 years of life on this earth. So when I seen what this weeks “DP Writing Challenge” was about, I thought it would be great to kick off my flip-flops, and take time to walk down memory lane of “The Good Times” I had as a child, instead of all the depressing stuff of life today.
.

.
I also feel this challenge is another “De-vine” moment from God that has happened, ( Yes, it happens a lot to me! ), because yesterday I had an old childhood friend contact me. He found me through my “Facebook Author Fan Page”!! Then today when I went to see what this weeks writing challenge was, I got goose bumps that my old pal “John Harris” found me. See this weeks challenge is to write a little about:
.
“This week, we’re asking you to consider things from a different point of view — to walk a mile in someone’s shoes. Leave your moccasins and bunny slippers at the door, and tell us a tale from a fully immersed perspective that is not your own.
.
Most of us remember a time when we couldn’t imagine living the life we live now. Work? Marriage? Kids? School? Tattoos? Running five miles a day? A crush on someone who doesn’t have a mullet? Write a few paragraphs about a memory from your perspective, then, write about how someone else might remember that same event.”…..HHHHMMMMM….
.
I already write much on my perspective of my life today in recovery, from abuse, and mental illness as them being part of my life. I try to give “Awareness and Insights” to these issues. Much does come from the negative experiences I have had, starting as a little girl. So it will be nice to share some “OLD” memories that John and I had as little kids, when he and his family lived across the street from us from 1971-1975 in Highland, CA. All I know is, when they moved, I was “Crushed”….My first real “Love Crush” was leaving me!!
.
Little_boy_and_girl : Cheerful boy and a girl are lying together on the white background
.
When I saw John’s friend request on Facebook, and then a message popped up that said, “Hey, Cat…don’t you remember me? I remember you “Bubba Gums”…..
.
YES, kind of embarrassing, my nick name as a young girl was “Bubba,” thanks to my older brother. And then John’s “Uncle Eddie”added the “GUMS”….because I lost all my front upper baby teeth at the same time, so they called me “Bubba Gums.” John and I used to get in so much trouble together.
.
My father and his were in the Air Force. We all went on family trips together, had BBQ’S and many dinners at each others houses. His mom Millie made the best homemade tacos! So when I found out it was Johnny, I asked for his phone number, and I called him right away! He was at his mom’s, they put me on speaker phone, and John, Millie and I caught up, 40 years worth! Then John and I started walking down “Childhood Memory Lane”….
.
And just so you know, I was ALWAYS getting in trouble for not wearing shoes as a kid! And to this day I’m the same way, not trouble, No Wearing Shoes!…LOL. I go barefoot all the time. I hated wearing shoes, which now, my feet have so many childhood scars to prove it. From skateboards, fish-hooks and wire stuck through my big toes. Smashing my toes trying to stop myself on my bike on curbs.
.
All us as kids used to go out in the middle of the street and play games like, “Red Rover,  Red Rover, and Red Light Green Light”!! John and I did talk a little about how our lives evolved as we grew up. See, those “Bad” things that happened to me as a little girl didn’t happen until after they moved away. Good times we spent as kids were “Young & Innocent.” I remembered all the days we spent out at the Air Force Base public swimming pool. All us kids spent many summer days at the pool.
.
Little_boy_and_girl : little girl telling his brother a secret
.
We both had a few accidents along the way too! Mine was in his backyard, while he was cutting their lawn. Johnny forgot to put the grass catcher on the mower, so he was going in his house to get us some cold drinks. He told me to keep pushing the lawn mower, and if it got to much grass or clogged, to just move the grass out-of-the-way of the mower.
.
WELL,…..it did,  and I moved the grass out alright, I almost lost a few fingers from putting my hand in to far of the mower!! So he comes back out and see’s that my hand is bleeding. I didn’t feel it. He told me NOT to look down at my hand as he took me in the house to his mom, but I did, and I almost passed out! Blood every where. I think Millie dumped a couple of bottles of “Peroxide” on my hand, and almost lost a finger that was just hanging there!! Of course it was a trip to the base hospital ER, along with needles and stitch’s. Both our families went out to “Wong’s Chinese Food” that night, and all I could feel was my hand and stitched up finger in pain and throbbing.
.
But my accident wasn’t as bad as Johnny’s. We were out riding bikes, and he decides to come down this hill on the road before you turn onto the street we lived on. With only a pair of cut-off shorts on, no shoes, no shirt, and waving BOTH arms in the air instead of them being on the handle bars of the damn bike, he crashed!!! It really was bad, I cried my eyes out. So much blood, and John laying there lifeless.
He was knocked out. He told me he didn’t remember the fall, only that he woke up in the hospital with gash and scabs all over him. He really gave BOTH FAMILIES a scare.
.
I did forget to ask John if he remembered the family trip both our families took together to San Diego. We went to SeaWorld and the Zoo. We spent a couple of nights at a motel, so John and I went swimming in the motel pool, even though it was cold and overcast at the end of the day. We didn’t care, just because we were having FUN together.
.
I also don’t know if he remembered when we were at the zoo, we were all standing by the different monkeys, apes, area. This lady was teasing the monkeys with treats, and one of the “Huge Apes” picked up a piece of “CRAP” and threw it at the lady!! We all ran back from the fence laughing so hard we were crying!!  Yes, so many wonderful childhood memories. Kind of embarrassing that one time John and I got caught playing nurse and doctor, that didn’t go over to well. What can I say,..”kids will be kids”…LOL.
.
Yes, so many good memories. So we vowed that we will stay in close touch now, but I have to tell him “Thank You,” thank you for finding me, and sending me that friend request through Facebook. For sharing, and for being a part of my life. The part that we “Shared Together.” And like you said, “when we were young and had not a care in the world.” We were just happy being little kids. I sure do miss those days…..
.

Just Sharing An Author, Fantasy Writer, And A Wonderful Friend You Should Know….

Hello and Welcome Readers and New Friends,

I meet some wonderful authors and writers along my literary journey, but when they are “Truly Exceptional” I enjoy showcasing their work on my Writers Blog here. And that’s how I feel about my new friend and writer, “Janalyn Voigt”…This woman is so busy, but she also finds time to help others with their own writing with helpful advice, tips, and more on her websites. Now I will confess, she actually invited me to be a part of her “Blog Tour,” but since I didn’t do very well on my last tour hosting job, I was a little intimidated to try it again. Janalyn was gracious enough though to let me “share” some of what she does, a little about herself, and showcase the excellent writer that she is. To that, I say Thank You because I know she will help my literary friends with some sound advice. So here is a wee bit more about Janalyn from her websites:

This review is from: Dawnsinger (Paperback)

A story that is a must read! I could hardly put it down, it was compelling and kept me guessing with a nice twist in the end. I found myself holding my breath during times and my eyes on the brink of tears, too. I love the characters that Janalyn Voigt has introduced to me. Within hours I was already reading the next book in this series…Wayfarer….5 STAR Review!
.

This review is from: WayFarer (Tales of Faeraven) (Kindle Edition)
.
“Princes and princesses in love with the wrong ones, or not in love with chosen mates, pretenders for thrones attacking, defenders facing defeat, intense loyalty, betrayal, love, hatred, faith and fears, marriage and death, life in strange and beautifully described lands, winged horses, giant bears, dangerous birds, witches who turn travelers instantly into ice, friends and foes. The story has a bit of everything to keep readers hoping for victories for favorite characters and defeat for nasty ones, but unsure who will win. Wayfarer, a well-told, compelling tale is Book two in the Faeraven series. The events and characters follow on from Book one, the Dawnsinger fantasy, but Wayfarer can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel. The author’s descriptions, even with strange names for almost everything, depict a strong admiration for nature and bring settings and characters wonderfully alive. Wayfarer depicts the consequences of wrong choices but the forgiveness, mercy and grace of God to a young King IF he will accept the truth about who can save him”… A 5 STAR Review!

Janalyn was nice enough to answer my “Two Favorite Questions” I ask of all my Spotlight Guests,”….
.
1. Why did you become a Writer? “As children, my older brother and I would beg my father for bedtime stories, and he would give them.  His deep voice rumbled against my ear at his chest as he unfolded stories of exotic places like Oz and Neverland. My imagination carried on with the tales even after he closed the book for the night. When eventually he stopped reading stories, I began creating my own.
.
Within a few years I’d become storyteller of my neighborhood. The other children would gather in a circle on our lawn while I invented stories to entertain them. No one, including myself, thought of this as anything unusual. It wasn’t until my sixth-grade teacher pointed out my ability to spin a tale that I and my parents took note. This is how at the age of twelve I decided to become a novelist. As it turns out, the fulfillment of that dream took a few more years than planned.
There were disappointments and successes along the way and lessons to be learned. In the end, it became a matter of stepping up to what I should be doing. I’ve written in more detail about my journey as a novelist at my author site.”

2. What do you enjoy most about being a Published Author?

“Holding my books in my hands ranks high on the list, second only to emails from those who have read and enjoyed my books.”
.
I want to Thank “Janayln Voigt” for the opportunity of sharing her wonderful writing, books, and websites with all of my friends and readers here! I know many of you will visit and explore all her sites, and grab a copy of her books too! She really is an extraordinary woman with so much talent. I wish you all the “Best” in your own writing journey….
